How to use:
All you need to do is place one melt in the top of the burner and an unscented tea light underneath. Do not add water, as your burner warms up the melt to liquefy and fill the air with scent. When you are ready, simply blow out the tealight candle and the molten wax will cool down and solidify ready for your next use. Once the melt loses its aroma, simply replace it with another soy scented melt.
Caution:
Whenever you are using a burner with an open flame make sure:
- It is on a hot safe surface
- It is out of reach of children and animals
- Nothing flammable is near the candle
Care
Wait until your wax is fully cooled before removing it. Take a fresh candle and light it under the wax. Leave it for 30 seconds to loosen the solid mass of wax. Wrap your fingers in kitchen roll and gently pull the wax away from the warmer. Use soapy warm water and a soft sponge to clean the wax burner.
Healthy for People & Planet
Although it is difficult to find recyclers who accept ceramics, when these products are ground up, they can be incorporated in tiles or new dishes.
Recycle your wax melt to your compost heap or garden bed when the scent has fully diluted.
Consider donating your burner to a thrift shop if you have no further use for it. Recycle your wax melt burner only as a last resort. Check with your local solid waste authority.
